InPsych Music offers a unique, fun and creative experience in the Perth hills for those of all ages, stages and backgrounds.
Music, both creating it and listening to it, is a transformational experience that transcends language, background, disability or perceived limitation. InPsych Music offers music therapy in order to facilitate positive change in all clients; those musical, those not, and those willing to be! This includes (but is not limited to) learning and developmental disorders, anxiety, depressive disorders, autism spectrum disorders and many other issues.
Research has shown that music provides a range of therapeutic benefits in the areas of psychological, physiological, social, emotional and cognitive function.
Music therapy will benefit children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, trauma, mental health problems, depression and medical illnesses, as well as learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties of all kinds.
InPsych has worked with experienced musicians on tapping into and empowering creative potential, and encouraging insight into the creative process regardless of its expression.
Fully accredited with the Australian Counselling Association and the WA Music Teachers Association, InPsych also facilitates band workshops and has worked extensively in mentoring and counselling troubled or at-risk youth.
